While it is understandable that people typically want to know about the cost of therapy right up front, I encourage people to not let the cost of therapy be the deciding factor when choosing the right therapist. I am currently an "in-network" provider with Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO. For other insurance companies of which I would be considered an "out-of-network" provider, I would be able to provide you with a receipt of services for which you can submit to your insurance company. Your insurance company may then reimburse you some of the cost of therapy sessions (depending on your specific plan and coverage). Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance companies to find out an explanation of mental health benefits and their coverage for seeing both an in-network and out-of-network provider. I can assist you with this and I can also call Blue Cross/Blue Shield to find out your specific benefits and coverage once you contact me and provide me with your insurance information.

For clients who choose to not use their insurance benefits and pay out of pocket (typically because this allows for the greatest privacy) and for clients who have insurance for which I am not an in-network provider, my session fee is $160 per 53-55 minute session. I do, however, set aside a certain number of sliding-scale slots for clients who cannot afford my typical out of pocket rate. In these cases, sessions would be an agreed upon rate between us. If you would be in need of a sliding-scale slot, please inquire about this upon contacting me.
